little old me

Girlymama posted her answers on her site and I'm waiting for pics to upload to photobucket before I go to sleep so I thought I'd post my answers here:

Where is your cell phone? In my hand - I'm multi-tasking by texting at the same time that I'm typing this.
Your significant other? Jesus has not yet introduced us- :( because I think I'm ready :) because the Lord's timing is perfect!
Your hair? is always in a ponytail because it's so ridiculously curly and I need to get it cut as it is too long and shapeless right now.

Your dream/goal? Ah, jeez. That's tough. Job wise: to get my Ph.D. be the Dean of Students and a professor and start a Student Affairs Masters program. Otherwise: to decrease me and increase God, to be married, to have children, to be a stay at home mom, to have fun most of the time.
The room are you in? my office in the basement of my house.
Your ex? wasn't really dating me
Your fear? that I'm sabotaging myself.
Where do you want to be in 6 years? Still here :)

Your life? is busy, but I like it that way
Your mood? Pensive
Missing someone? Carra - she hasn't been at bible study all semester becase she had class
Your car? A 2003 Honda CRV
Something you are not wearing? My rings
Favorite store? Target- shouldn't this just be an auto-fill answer?
Your summer? Will be a blast!
Like someone? Yes
Your favorite color? Pink, purple, green...depends
When is the last time you laughed? About an hour ago when my best friend called and I was so engrossed in what I was doing, I jumped about a mile at the sound of the phone ringing
Last time you cried? About an hour and a half ago...
Who will repost this? Um, probably no one because I don't think anyone reads this blog :) Let me know if you played along.

That's just weird...

1. The entirely grown adult older-than-me woman that lives in my condo unit draws giant Snoopy dogs in chalk all over our parking lot. Usually Snoopy is holding a flower. Sometimes he has a word bubble.

2. Everyone in my bible study are butt smackers

3. That this list was longer when I wrote it in my head a couple hours ago. In which case I think I have reached my memory's maximum capacity and I'm full. I will either forget something that I've known for a really long time in order to remember something new, or be unable to learn anything new until I've deleted some thoughts.

buried alive

There are certain things that I've been dying to get done and there just seems to be no time! I am trying SO HARD to maintain organization in my life and you can always tell how well I'm doing by how messy my car is. Seriously. If I have been crazy busy and have something to do every night of the week and weekends have been booked, you will notice that my backseat is filled - dishes from lunches and dinners that I've taken to work, whatever crap my mom has left in the car because we carpool and she isn't living at our house these days, clothes from the various outfits I've had to wear throughout the day, purchases from whatever store at which I've been shopping, and of course paperwork from various sorority meetings and church meetings I've been attending.

Typically when I feel my world swirling around me, I make a list. It helps me feel grounded. I love lists: To do lists, shopping lists, wish lists, lists of topics to discuss with my best friend (seriously, we do this when we have a lot to talk about because otherwise we forget them!)...any list will do! Last night when I got home from bible study I brought some of the stuff in from my backseat which means, of course, that now my kitchen and bedroom are a mess. But it's an improvement and at least makes me feel a little less frazzled. Plus, this morning before I left for work I emptied the dishwasher and re-loaded it so that the counters are clear again!
Now I am off to make a to do list because all this talk about lists....

aaahhhh, much better!

I have recently joined the world of Facebook - who knew everyone in the world was already there? In doing so, I have reconnected with a few friends, one of which has her own blog, and since I have not spoken to her in a few years, I have spent some time catching up on her life. Here are a few things I learned:

1. She has adorable and hilarious children
2. She is a great writer
3. I miss her like crazy
4. My blog sucks

Number four is what has prompted a complete overhaul to my own blog and a solemn vow to post more regularly about a variety of things, not just funny letters about porn left in televisions. So there it is. My solemn vow. We'll see how it works out.
